Melissa Marsh is a veteran WNBL player for the Western Australia team, the West Coast Waves. Her natural talent, approach to on-court work and training, along with her leadership skills has led her to captaining the team for the past four years.
Melissa debuted in the Women’s National Basketball League in 2001 at the tender age of just 16. She has since broken the club record for most games played for the club, exceeding the previous record of 204 games held by Olympic Silver Medallist, Tully Bevilaqua.
Melissa’s recently started her own business, Mel Marsh Sports Promotion, where she offers basketball coaching, mentoring and guest speaking. Her passion for women’s sport and issues also guided her to media work as a co-host of Girl Talk on 91.3 Sport FM and a regular blogger for PerthNow.
Melissa also works as the Business Development Manager at South Fremantle Football Club.
