Share Your Registration Page Link

Once you have set up your online registration page, share the link at every opportunity. People can donate as they sign up to attend your event and make donations even if they can’t make it.

Get Active On Social Media

Your social media pages are a great avenue to direct people to your fundraising page. If you are on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram make sure you make your appeal there and use the hash tag #AfternoonTeal.

Have a Donations Box

A donations box at your Afternoon Teal will allow people to make donations easily and discretely. Just remember they also need to provide their details to you if they’d like a tax deductible receipt.

Charge a Fee for Entry

Asking people to contribute a small amount as they arrive can go a long way. It’s a good opportunity to directly ask your guests contribute.

Hold an Auction or Raffle

Offering items through a raffle or auction on the day is a great way to add some excitement to your event. Think about who you might ask to donate a prizes in the lead up. Perhaps your friends have talents or services they could offer?

Involve your workplace or school

Holding events in your workplace or school comes with the benefits of an already established group of people and a suitable venue. A fundraising event is also a great way to boost morale and team spirit.

Broaden Your Network

Ask your networks to invite their own networks to your Afternoon Teal. Having them share through their own friends, family and colleagues will broaden your reach and facilitate more awareness and donations.

Match Funds

Speak to your employer or a business you have a relationship with about the possibility of them offering matched funds. That is, they contribute a dollar for every dollar you raise at your Afternoon Teal.

Sell some ‘Charlie’s Cookies’

Our friends at Charlie’s Cookies have a special offer just for Afternoon Teal Hosts which will enable you to raise some extra funds at your event. You can see all the details here.
