Ovarian Cancer Australia hosted a consumer forum in Adelaide on the topic of ‘Research, Hope & Understanding’. Health professionals with expertise in ovarian cancer presented on a range of topics. In this video Dr Ganescan Kichenadasse, Dr Nicola Poplawski, Dr Charlotte Tottman and Chris Christensen discuss clinical trials in ovarian cancer, emotional wellbeing and living with the disease.

Ovarian Cancer Australia & Cancer Council Queensland held a consumer forum in Brisbane on 21st of June 2018. The forum was an opportunity for women with ovarian cancer, their family and friends to hear from speakers such Medical Oncologist, Dr Kathryn Middleton who presented on Research & Clinical Trials. Clinical Geneticist Camron Ebzery who presented on, Who, What, Why and How of Genetic Testing for women with Ovarian Cancer. Clinical Psychologist Dr Keely Gordon King presented on the psycho-social impact of ovarian cancer. Kristen Larsen a consumer living with ovarian cancer spoke about her experience with diagnosis, treatment, recurrence and being on maintenance treatment for ovarian cancer.

Ovarian Cancer Australia’s Q & A Forum was held in Melbourne on 16 May 2016. The forum was an opportunity for women with ovarian cancer, their family and friends to hear from: leading researchers, clinicians and experts around the latest developments and advances in ovarian cancer research. This included advice on coping with treatment and information about support services available to women with ovarian cancer to help maintain their quality of life.

Future Directions for Ovarian Cancer Treatment Forum was held in Melbourne on 1 April 2017 as part of the ANZGOG Conference. The forum was an opportunity for consumers to hear from leading researchers, clinicians and expert about clinical trials and latest treatments available. We also heard from two ovarian cancer survivors who shared their personal experience.
